The woods used in “briccole” (mooring posts) such as European and American oak and chestnut, have a very diverse range of shades, which is why you get in the drawings pleasantly heterogeneous shades and wood grains. The floor, that is the result of several processing stages, is a product of high quality and value, in accordance with the “Made in Italy” creations. The surface is pre-oiled and the signs of shipworms, that shape the material as if they were real sculptors, are only partially plastered, as they give the product a unique and distinctive "brand". Laying is with glue and the azure colour, all-present in the elements, is the result of the nails inserted into the briccole. Genuine handicraft product , in which the man is not the only performer, but also the nature, confirms its value in each fragment, with a unique history.

The History
Born from the love for Venice, surrounded and protected by the waters, the research and creation of a truly unique collection, in which the material used is of such importance to be considered a historical witness and cultural heritage of the city. These are the "briccole" (in Venetian “bricole”), structures formed of one or more large wooden poles tied together and placed in water, in order to signal to boats the navigable portion of the lagoon. Since 8th December 1439, when the first rules about these signals were introduced, these mooring posts have been among the protagonists of the city covering a distinctive role. Emerging from the water in all their nobility, they are fascinating as they are indispensable. The wood of the briccole is peculiar : in the course of its life, which varies between 5 and 10 years, it undergoes many changes: it is worn out and caressed by the water as well as shaped by the marine life that marks its passage by creating absolutely perfect circles in the material , giving it unique and enchanting shapes and designs. The beauty is intrinsic in the natural material, that is shaped by the waters of a magnificent and surreal city. The “briccole” bring along an extraordinary memory and come from a nature worn out by the time, by the sea, by memories and barely touched dreams. After research and in-depth studies, thanks to our passion for wood and the affection that binds us to Venice, we were able to create a product that, although de-contextualized from its place of origin, maintains an emotional bond with the city, trying to recover its poetry and memory. Coming in contact with a product of such rarity and beauty, you can feel the “pulsating soul'' of the material, having the great privilege to bring along a fragment of Venice.
